Teen Tech Week Events @ Central Library
Saturday, March 14th
As part of the American Library Association’s Teen Tech Week, teens and tweens are invited to participate in various activities.
- From 1 – 3 p.m. in the Learning Curve Arena, 3D Parts Manufacturing will lead a workshop showcasing 3D printing technologies.
- From 2 – 5 p.m. in the Clowes Auditorium Lobby, they can drop in to the LED Light Workshop and create their own light-up jewelry with Art With a Heart, or participate in an interactive demonstration of Google Glass.
- From 3 – 4 p.m. in the Clowes Auditorium, the workshop entitled, “Fanfic: Your Creativity, Other People’s Playgrounds,” led by young adult author Saundra Mitchell, will help them learn about fan fiction and online fanfic communities. There’ll be puzzles, giveaways and raffles for prizes throughout the afternoon.
The entire day’s activities are free, but registration is required (limit of 30 participants) for the 3D Printing Workshop by calling 275-4222.
Other Indy PL locations will be celebrating Teen Tech Week throughout the month of March. Check your local branch for event dates and times. Some events may require registration.
