Banned Books Week: A Conversation With Rainbow Rowell

In celebration of Banned Books Week and to kick off the Library’s Teen Read Week activities, teens and adults are invited to meet young adult novelist Rainbow Rowell. Her recent books “Eleanor & Park” and “Fangirl,” received critical acclaim in 2013. This program is presented by IndyPL and the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library.

Banned Books Week: Author Malinda Lo

In celebration of Banned Books Week and to kick off the Library’s Teen Read Week activities, teens are invited to meet Malinda Lo, the author of “Ash,” who will discuss the issue of banning young adult books and the adversities she has faced with her novels and characters. Following her appearance at the Glendale Branch, the author will visit the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library for a program that begins at 5 p.m. with Gourmet Girlfriends presenting banned books treats followed by a talk by Malinda Lo.
