Banned Books Week: Author Malinda Lo

In celebration of Banned Books Week and to kick off the Library’s Teen Read Week activities, teens are invited to meet Malinda Lo, the author of “Ash,” who will discuss the issue of banning young adult books and the adversities she has faced with her novels and characters. This program is presented by IndyPL and the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library.
Teen Read Week: Gourmet Girlfriends Fantasy Treats Workshop

As part of Teen Read Week, teens are invited to begin this program with an ice breaker that focuses on Divergent, put together a trail mix in honor of The Hunger Games, and end by divulging a little Harry Potter sorcery with an edible potion. This workshop will be presented by Gourmet Girlfriends.
Portal Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Group

Teen Read Week: Create Your Own Duct Tape Sketch Book
