Holidays in Indianapolis

With the snow over the weekend, it is looking like winter is here a bit early. We love the look of the season. There’s so much to do, though! Finals! Shopping! Family Get-togethers! Holiday celebrations!

What’s that? Want some more? Here’s a few ideas for you to try out this month…

Library branches are hosting a program called Holiday Origami. You’ll get a chance to get folding during this program that’s presented by Art with a Heart. You’ll learn basic folds and create your own holiday masterpieces.

Every evening, Wednesday through Sunday during the month of December, surround yourself with the magic and beauty of the holiday season as the Indianapolis Zoo hosts its 45th year of Christmas at the Zoo. Details are here.

The Children’s Museum has a great holiday celebration every winter. Check out Jolly Days at the Children’s Museum this year!

One of our favorite things to do is climb into the car and go look at the lights. Several neighborhoods are locally famous for their light shows. There’s Christmas on Victory in Carmel, and of course, the HUGE display at the Reynolds John Deere dealership in Noblesville at 126th and SR 37. Make sure to allow extra time. Lines can be VERY long!
