Summertime Goings-On

Here’s a list of things to do this summer. A College Avenue Branch librarian was kind enough to send us these, some of which are specific to her part of town.

1) The Library summer reading program with a great array of prizes, movies, and workshops – all free! You can register now and redeem points for prizes from June 6-Aug. 1.  (http://imcpl.org/events/srp2011/

2) The “Real Men Read” program June 7-July 14 for guys ages 13 to 15 at Kaleidoscope Youth Center, 4186 Broadway, (http://www.kycindy.org/) across from the library. Contact Ron “China” Jackson or stop by the library or Kaleidoscope (http://www.kycindy.org/programs.htm) for more information.

3) The Friends of Noah free picnic/cookout for teens on Monday, June 13, 5-8 pm at Holliday Park, 6363 Spring Mill Road, at the red balloons near the north parking lot across from the playground (http://hollidaypark.org/about-hp.html). RSVP or learn more by contacting Henrietta Day at 317-374-7222, or fon.hday@gmail.com.
