Calling all fans of contemporary teen fiction! There is a new blog just for you.
The Contemps is a blog that is written by authors who write contemporary novels for teens a.k.a. realistic fiction. They will write about upcoming novels and also share some stories from their teenage years. For example this past Tuesday they had a “Hot Topic” day about teens and religion. You can chime in your opinions and experiences and read what others teens and YA authors have to say on this topic. Also if you’re a voracious reader who is up for a challenge you can get involved and take the “Contemps Challenge” to read at least 18 books in a year from the list the blog provides. Check the page often and you’ll never run out of great books to read. Soon your request list on your library card will be really long, but you will always have the excitement of an excellent read coming your way. Ahh the anticipation!!
