So, I haven’t seen Tim Burton’s take on Alice in Wonderland yet. I’m really hoping to catch it this weekend with my friends. I’m excited to revisit Wonderland; the colors are beautiful, and the visual effects look outstanding. However, I think what I might most be looking forward to is seeing that crazed Mad Hatter. I know Johnny Depp is somewhere under that persona and it’s almost a game for me to try and detect mannerisms from other characters he has played. Here’s the thing though- I always lose that game. Johnny Depp immerses himself so completely into whatever role he’s in that the freak, pirate, eccentric candy maker, demon barber, acclaimed author and so on rarely shines through. Whether you think Mr. Depp is dreamy, dreary, or just plain old, you have to respect him as an actor. Don’t believe me? Check out some of his movies from the library to compare! Fun, fun fact- Johnny Depp’s debut role was in the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie. <<<SPOILER>>> He totally died!
