Veterans´ Day

What is Veterans’ Day? It’s one of the days each year when we as a Nation honor every person (past and present) that has played some role in the Armed Services. Why do we celebrate Veterans’ Day? It’s just one way of showing our respect and saying “thank you” to the people that put their lives on the line for us. Do you have someone in your family that is a Veteran of a War?  If so what kind of stories and experiences have you heard?
Did you know there is a difference between Veterans Day and Memorial Day?  Yes, there is more than just Governmental and Post Office, Schools, and Banks closing for the day.
Don’t forget to say a big “THANK YOU” to any Veterans you know and see (friends, family, church, school teachers, etc) and this can be done by either a Thank You note or call, volunteering to do yard or house work, or take them a meal just to name a few.
