If you happen to work in a place where the break room usually holds some tempting homemade treats, then here is a challenge for you. The staff of National Public Radio’s All Things Considered loved their weekly goodies so much that staffer Melissa Gray put together a book of recipes that lasts all year long.
All Cakes Considered not only offers such confections as Chocolate Pound Cake, Coffee Spice Cake, and something called Heaven and Hell Cake – it is also a cookbook that is fun to read. Since NPR is based in Washington DC, there are margins full of political tales and anecdotes about the sources of the recipes.
This title is also available as a downloadable e-book
If you accept the challenge of a different cake for every week of the year, perhaps you should also consider a workplace fitness program for every week of the year….
My thanks to Susanne for sending this post.
