Raylan (Book Review by IMCPL Patron)

For fans of the t.v. series “Justified” this is the accompanying novel. Or actually, novellas. It´s written as a series of interconnected stories that plays out similar to a television series.
Raylan Givens is a U.S. Marshal in rural Kentucky who has been sent here after being demoted for killing a man, more or less, in cold blood.
The book follows Raylan from one perp to the next and is best described as both hard-boiled and humorous. Several chapters are devoted to a following a crooked gambler who also happens to be a straight-A student at Butler University.
Raylan is a fast and entertaining read, appropriate for a mature audience and a bit graphic at times.
