Does Television Scare You?
September 7, 2008 by Reader's Connection
We’re not asking whether you get the chills watching reality shows about people eating worms.
On February 17, 2009, all full-power broadcast television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting on analog airwaves and begin broadcasting only in digital.
Will you need to convert? Do you need information about this?
The Federal Communications Commission has a page on this subject at http://www.dtv.gov/. Another government site, https://www.dtv2009.gov/, provides information about how to obtain a converter box.

If you think about this a couple of months from now, and you remember this blog but can’t find your way back to it, you’ll be able to find the links in the FAQ section of the library’s Television Info Guide.
Our Info Guides can be reached by clicking on Guides & Resources on our home page. For the Television Info Guide you would then select the “News & Entertainment” group.
This info guide, like many of the others, offers links that you may find helpful, and some recent titles on the subject in question.
