In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the Library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills. The Job Center is made possible by Knowledge Services, the Hoover Family Foundation and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Adults seeking to establish a new nonprofit organization are invited to learn the characteristics of effective non-profits and assess whether yours is ready for foundation fundraising. This workshop, presented by Rebecca Kirby, walks you through the steps of defining your mission, obtaining incorporation and nonprofit status, and building an effective board. This program is made possible by a gift from The Emily Fund to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Children ages 3 - 6 and an adult are invited to a guided learning experience with digital activities. They'll play with Pleo (the robot dinosaur) and use iPads to create pictures of lines and draw favorite animals and people using shapes. Attendees will receive a list of "best apps" for young children and learn how to use technology as a tool to support learning and development.
