1. Did you like how a modern day kid was pulled into the myths and how that kid was part of a prophecy from ancient times or found out he had some kind of power? If you liked that connection between the present and the past, your best bet is Rick Riordan’s new (starts 2010) series The Heroes of Olympus, which also takes place at Camp Half-Blood. In the first book, The Lost Hero: Jason, Piper, and Leo, three students from a school for “bad kids,” find themselves at Camp Half-Blood, where they learn that they are demigods and begin a quest to free Hera, who has been imprisoned by Mother Earth herself. When you are done with Percy Jackson and Jason, try one of these:

Maybe you liked all the Camp Half-blood campers. That’s called an ensemble cast…like in a TV show or play when there are several strong characters, like Percy, Anabeth and Grover or Harry, Ron and Hermione.
