October 12th came and I got the book in the mail a few days later and I’ve read it and it…is…good! Because camp half-blood and demigods are familiar now, it’s missing just a little bit of the wonder of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but I really like the new characters: Jason and Piper and Leo. (Especially Leo!) I loved the mechanical dragon Festus. Personally, I’d rather ride a mechanical dragon than a hippogrif, I mean, if anybody ever gives me the choice. I liked the whole set-up that does involve Annabeth, Percy and Thalia and how the first series is related to this one. They just aren’t the main focus. I do think we will see more of them as the series moves forward.
This one opens with Jason, Piper and Leo on a bus on a field trip. Jason has amnesia and doesn’t even know who Leo and Piper are. Monsters attack (of course!) and hey, don’t you know, these three are demi-gods and their teacher is their satyr/guardian. If you don’t have the book yet try out the first two chapters and then take a look at what other kids have to say about it. (Although beware spoilers!) Author: Rick Riordan

this wasn’t as good as the origional demigods series but it was still pretty amazing!!!!! can’t wait for the next book…i think i heard it comes out next fall…SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked it a lot especially Leo and Festus! But would have liked to see more of the old characters becuase i loved them. Like grover, nice, and tyson. It was nt as good as the old series but close. it also bothered me that they heard so much about Percy but never asked anything about him.

In the next book, Son of Neptune, it will all be about Percy Jackson so don’t worry. This series is awesome! Better than Percy Jackson Series

Heroes of olympus is awesome as!!!!!!!!!! I keep searching 4 the 2nd book but i cant seem 2 find it the percy jackson series were good but heroes of olympus is better!!
