Thursday, October 18, 2012 @ 11:00am Preschoolers and their families are invited to a free concert by the Imagination Movers, whose popular music and comedy series can be seen on the Disney Junior television channel. Their high-energy songs, which have sold on nearly 250,000 CDs and DVDs to date, are prized by parents for their non-condescending lyrics and music that evoke the Beastie Boys or Red Hot Chili Peppers more than Barney or the Wiggles. Their programs puzzle out solutions to practical and fantastical challenges, such as how to move a giant pumpkin or stop a sneezing attack, while demonstrating the band members’ lively comedic talents. Their television program has earned a Daytime Emmy Award. The band also has appeared on “Good Morning America” and “Regis & Kelly.” This program will be held in Central Library‘s Clowes Auditorium.
