Science of Silica Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, veteran glass artist Abby Gitlitz will show how artists work molten glass. Look at that glass cheeseburger! Explore the science of glass blowing using everyday kitchen objects. You will get to try blowing “glass” with a straw and bubblegum and you will be able to make your own “glass” treats out of melted lifesavers. Registration required. For kids from 6-15 years of age.
