Discover digital activities to support the STEM based curriculum. All of the newest science literature, both fiction and non-fiction, will be available to explore. Shirley Mullin, Owner of Kids Ink Bookstore, will speak on today’s literature. This program, to be held in the Learning Curve, will offer Professional Growth Points, digital science demonstrations, a science resource book for each attendee, a chance to win an I-Pad and other giveaways, free Library parking, and gourmet campfire refreshments. Make your own dreidel, learn about the meaningful inscriptions on them, and learn why the Israeli dreidel is different from other dreidels. Registration is required for this 2-hour program.
Islamic Children’s Games Schedule
Learn a short song in Arabic and learn how to write your name in Arabic and pronounce the letters. Registration is required for this one-hour program.
Drumming Up a Story Schedule
Hear storyteller and percussionist Khabir Shareef share Middle Eastern folktales and teach percussion rhythms. No registration is required for this one-hour program.
Middle Eastern Folk Dancing Schedule
An interactive workshop on Middle Eastern folk dancing that will focus on different styles of traditional Arabic dance and include samples of different costumes. No registration is required for this one-hour program.
