This year's theme "Read in Any Language" celebrates Indianapolis' international community and invites families to "Think Global and Read Local" at their nearest neighborhood library location. "Read in Any Language" Kickoff
The 2014 Summer Reading Program kicked off on June 4 at Central Library's Learning Curve with a special storytime featuring English and Chinese readings for an audience of first and second graders from Center For Inquiry #27. Readers included Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, City-County Councillor Mike McQuillen, Crestview School librarian Polly McQuillen, and IUPUI students Kevin (Hao Li) and Andy (Yong Dai).
