Colts Mane Event

The Indianapolis Colts and the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library will continue a successful literacy partnership begun last year when Colts players and representatives present "The Mane Event" at various IMCPL locations throughout the fall.

In an effort to promote reading among children and families, "The Mane Event" will feature such activities as read-aloud storytimes by Colts players, raffles for Colts items, autographing of team posters, and appearances by Blue, the Colts mascot, and Colts cheerleaders.

Children also can sign up for a free Library Card and become members of Blue's Book Club, allowing them to check out winning books from a list of those appropriate for children of various ages. "The Mane Event" will be presented at the following times and locations:

Wednesday, October 15 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Wayne Branch, 198 S. Girls School Road

Monday, November 10 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Irvington Branch, 5625 E. Washington Street

Monday, December 1 from 6 - 8 p.m.
Glendale Branch, 6101 N. Keystone Avenue

With members of the Indianapolis Colts serving as reading role models, children will be inspired to further develop their love of reading.
