Memory

Memory Exhibit at CentralThere can be no doubt of the overwhelming importance of memory in our individual lives. Our very sense of who we are rests largely in remembering where we've been, whom we've known, what we've done, and how we've felt.

Memory, a major new exhibition at Central Library, opens to the public on Sunday, June 1 and continues through Sunday, September 7.

This traveling exhibition of over 40 exhibits and demonstrations, created by the internationally-acclaimed Exploratorium in San Francisco and made possible by the National Science Foundation and the MetLife Foundation, is reflective of both personal experience and new breakthroughs in cognitive science.

Exhibits, demonstrations, artworks, images, sounds, and even smells and tastes within the show demonstrate and depict the fascinating subject of human memory: its biological, psychological and cultural dimensions.
