Conversations About Education: Education Accountability

Hear from local and national experts, including Colorado State Senator Mike Johnston who championed the Great Teachers and Leaders Law as well as the Teacher Effectiveness bill in that state. Discussion will include how accountability is reshaping the operation of our schools and impacting the entire education system. Also discussed will be the rewriting of the federal No Child Left Behind Act and Indiana’s waiver from federal policy requirements. This program will be moderated by award-winning journalist Matthew Tully whose series on education appeared in The Indianapolis Star and led to his new book, "Searching for Hope." This program, presented by Education Reform Now, will be held in the Clowes Auditorium at Central Library. |
