How to Build a Nonprofit Organization: Building Blocks for Starting a 501(c)(3)

Adults seeking to establish a new nonprofit organization are invited to learn the characteristics of effective non-profits and assess whether yours is ready for foundation fundraising. This workshop, presented by Leah York, walks you through the steps of defining your mission, obtaining incorporation and nonprofit status, and building an effective board. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sack lunch as there are few lunch options close by and time is limited. This program is made possible by BMO Harris Bank, The Emily Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. This program will be held in the Knall Meeting Room. Register by visiting www.eventbrite.com. Registration opens approximately two months prior to the workshop.
