How to Build a Nonprofit Organization: Building Blocks for Starting a 501(c)(3)

Adults seeking to establish a new nonprofit organization are invited to learn the characteristics of effective non-profits and assess whether yours is ready for foundation fundraising. This workshop, presented by Rebecca Kirby, walks you through the steps of defining your mission, obtaining incorporation and nonprofit status, and building an effective board. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sack lunch as small group work and one-on-one Q&A with the presenter will occur during the lunch hour. This program is made possible by a gift from The Emily Fund to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. Seating is limited. Visit www.Eventbrite.com to register. Registration opens approximately two months prior to each workshop. This program will be held in the Riley Meeting Room.
