Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 275-4500. Knitters and crocheters are invited to use their craft to help those in need. Create a scarf, hat, mittens or socks to be donated to Horizon House, the only full-service day center serving the homeless in Indianapolis. Assistance will be provided to those who don't know how to knit. Those who can't attend can pick up a ball of yarn anytime after September 23 to make a project at home to return by November 26.

It includes instruction on medications, nutrition, exercise, monitoring, complications and available community resources. Children ages 2 - 7 are invited for a 30-minute session filled with punching, kicking and storytelling presented by Crouching Tigers, a martial arts and resilience building program for young children. Children will learn basic martial arts and self-defense skills. Also, they'll be introduced to Recycling Ben, an imaginary character that teaches children to recycle negative words and thoughts into positive ones.

In this introduction to writing crime fiction, presented by the Indiana Writers Center, weíll explore some of the basic tools for constructing a mystery novel: the genre expectations and boundaries, setting, characters, suspense, opening scenes, plot and pacing. Patrons are invited to learn how to select and use eReaders, as well as search and download materials from the Library's extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks and digital music. Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 275-4500.
