For the Love of Baseball

To commemorate the start of the 2014 baseball season, the entire public is invited to view amazing historic baseball artifacts courtesy of Wayne Branch patron and local author Walter Hart. Memorabilia include autographed photos, score sheets from historic games, and other priceless items that can educate young and old alike about many facets of baseball that have remained the same for over 100 years.
This exhibit can be viewed during regular Library hours in the lobby of the Wayne Branch.

They'll also discuss good luck charms and create their own frog-shaped muiraquitã amulet out of clay. Registration is required by calling your local branch.

eBook Tinker Station

Patrons are invited to learn how to select and use eReaders, as well as search and download materials from the Library's extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks and digital music. Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 275-4500. This service is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
