During this free workshop, young ones will learn about healthy choices and create their own edible treats for breakfast or bedtime snacks. Note for parents: Since this is a cooking program, if a child has allergy concerns, please contact a participating branch for a list of ingredients. This program is peanut free. In this introduction to writing crime fiction, presented by the Indiana Writers Center, we’ll explore some of the basic tools for constructing a mystery novel: the genre expectations and boundaries, setting, characters, suspense, opening scenes, plot and pacing. Attendees should come ready to do a bit of writing, too!

This class, presented by the Indiana Writers Center, will clarify what speculative fiction is, along with world-building and exploring the marketplace.
