Ready-for-Winter Stories & Cozy Craft

Last week in the Curve, our little learners featured story time included books about penguins and pine cones, little grey squirrels, and hibernation. We also made a pine cone ornament with fuzzy craft poms and glue. Glimpse a sneak peek below, and if you missed our featured story time, come by the Curve and ask for your own story time with one of these great wintertime reads, or check them out for yourself to enjoy at home:

Hibernation Station by Michelle Meadows: Rhyming text and pictures introduce the reader to a variety of animals as they try to snuggle in to sleep.

Grey Squirrel illus. by Laura Ferraro Close: a book to go along with the favorite song.

Penguin and Pinecone by Salina Yoon: Penguin and Pinecone form an unlikely friendship, even when they must live far apart.

Pine cone craft: Dip these fuzzy colorful craft poms into some Elmer’s Glue, then place the poms onto the pine cone tips (like decorating a little tree), and even add a loop of string for a festive ornament!
