Stop and Think (IMPD)

Prior to the tour they will don an orange jail jumpsuit over their clothing and for the last half of the tour they will be placed in handcuffs that will be removed at the end of the tour. At no time will they come into contact with the inmates. They will see a video regarding choices and consequences, get a tour of pre-approved areas of the jail, the crime lab, a walk through of the jail tunnel, as well as hear presentations from homicide and forensic specialist. After the tour they will be permitted to ask questions. The goal of this program is to equip them with information and experience on what it is like in the Marion County Jail, as well as provide them with a positive experience with law enforcement.
