Central Library Project

The expansion and renovation of Central Library will serve to maintain and improve its excellent ranking among U.S. libraries.

Five years ago, the Library Board adopted a comprehensive long-range strategic plan to meet the needs of the Indianapolis community well into the 21st century. Since then, six new or expanded facilities have opened to overwhelming public support.

The renovation of the keystone of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library system, our Central Library, will embrace emerging technologies and meet the growing needs of our educational, business and private sector patrons.
