Tyler Green’s Modern Art Lecture

Ten  Things I Hate About Contemporary Art

Central Library

November 13 at 7 p.m.

Tyler Green will discuss contemporary visual art and the artists who create it. Green edits and writes Modern Art Notes (MAN), the most-read blog about visual art. “This is my chronicle of my thoughts of and passions for modern and contemporary art. It’s updated pretty much every weekday, and occasionally on weekends when something particularly irks or emboldens me.”

He also writes regularly for numerous magazines. In 2005 the Wall Street Journal called MAN “the most influential of all visual arts blogs.” Two years later the WSJ said, “You won’t find a better-informed art writer than Tyler Green.” In 2008 the Washington Post named Green one of the capital’s “young and influential” arts figures.

Green attended the University of Missouri, where he majored in journalism. He is a member of the United States section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). Green was born in San Mateo, Calif., and lives in Washington, DC.

Skip Hop Studio Diaper Tote Handbag is awesome. So quite a few pockets – as well as not really those modest, useless pockets, either. All of the storage compartments are a great size and truly assist keep everything organized. The handles are a excellent length and fit nicely more than the shoulder; the handle straps also stay put on my arm, which is critical when you are transporting a newborn. The handbag seems good, too. Not as well fancy, but not as well casual. (I have it in black) The material is soft (can’t feel of a much better word) so it’s straightforward to squeeze in to tight spaces – but yet it is sturdy. I’ve a Fleurville Lexi carrier and I adore it, as well, but that handbag is actually kind of rigid. I consider this Skip*Hop can turn into my daily bag. It is a little bit big – so if you are not really in to substantial hand bags this might be far better as an over-night diaper handbag.
