The Secrets in Every Room: Nicholai Shaver’s Exhibition at Fountain Square

Monday, November 5th, 2012

Artist Nicholai Shaver will have an exhibit at the Fountain Square Branch during November and December.  There will be a reception on December 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., but you can go anytime and admire, for example, Our Lady of Saavedra.

That isn’t yet the name of this painting, but on Mr. Shaver’s Facebook page, he says that he’ll give a prize to whoever gives the painting an appropriate name. I just now entered Our Lady of Saavedra and I don’t think I can miss.

Oh . . . wait . . . that Facebook entry was from October 10, and someone else has already won the prize. I just look at Mr. Shaver’s website, and the painting has been named Dusk over Monastery.

Be that as it may,  I think The Secrets in Every Room is a great title for an exhibit. This one, free and open to the public at Fountain Square, will run for two months and should be exciting.
