Central Library Volunteers Sought

Enthusiastic volunteers are being sought to serve as Tour Guides and Hospitality (information) volunteers at the transformed Central Library, located at One Library Square, 40 E. St. Clair Street. If you wish to be an ambassador for Indianapolis’ new downtown library and enjoy interacting with the public, please call 275-4045 before Monday, March 17 to schedule an interview.

Most tours are scheduled on weekdays. However, there are a few evening and weekend opportunities. Tour Guides must commit to conducting two to four tours a month for a minimum of one year.

Hospitality volunteers are regularly scheduled weekly or every other week for two to four hours. Additionally, limited volunteer positions are available assisting with maintaining the Library’s collection. Application deadline for Tour Guides and Hospitality Volunteer is Monday, March 17. Training will be provided for all positions.
