ABOUT THE LIBRARY"Little-Bitty" Bookmobiles Arrive at IMCPL!![]() IMCPL's Chris Cairo (standing left) and The Indianapolis Foundation's Tara Seeley show off the new "Little-Bitty Bookmobile" with children from the Fuzzie Bear Child Care Center To enhance services to young children, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library has acquired three hybrid-powered mini-vans that will be used for delivery of books and materials to preschoolers in local home day care centers and after school programs. Thanks to a $168,000 grant from The Library Fund, a fund of The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate, to the IMCPL Foundation, the "Little-Bitty" bookmobiles will complement the Library's fleet of vehicles that deliver materials to neighborhoods and organizations that have limited access to branch libraries. The Library's "On the Road to Reading" service to home day care centers also will feature weekly visits from IMCPL children's librarians who will conduct fun and educational storytime programs.
