IMCPL Trustees Announce Final Candidates for Chief Executive Officer
The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Board of Trustees has announced the names of three finalists for the position of IMCPL Chief Executive Officer. The candidates:
Laura Bramble has served as IMCPL’s Interim CEO during 2007. Bramble received her B.A. in French from the University of Wisconsin and her Masters in Library Science from the University of Illinois. Bramble is a former Director of the Avon-Washington Township Public Library and has served IMCPL for the past 15 years in such capacities as Director of Collection Management, Director of Central Library and Chief Operating Officer.
Jacqueline Nytes received her B.A. in Political Science and her Masters in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin. Nytes is a former Director of the Carmel Clay Public Library and served IMCPL for 10 years as Associate Director of Management Services and three years as Chief Financial Officer. Nytes was elected to the Indianapolis-Marion County City-County Council in 2000 and has since maintained her Council seat.
Michael Williams received his B.S. in Radio and Television from Butler University and his Masters in Library Science from Indiana University. Williams has been an IMCPL employee for 25 years. For the past 12 years, Williams has served in various management capacities, including Manager of the West Indianapolis and Shelby branches. Williams currently serves as Area Resource Manager of IMCPL’s South Region of branch facilities.
The public will have an opportunity to meet and hear from the candidates on Saturday, October 27 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. at the College Avenue Branch, 4180 N. College Avenue.
In addition to managing the operations of the newly-transformed Central Library and IMCPL’s 22 branch locations, the new Chief Executive Officer will direct the Library’s next long range plan for future operations.
