ABOUT THE LIBRARY
IMCPL Services Enhance New Bethel Park Family Center
Visitors to the Indy Parks and Recreation's new Bethel Park Family Center on the near southeast side of Indianapolis will be able to learn more about park offerings and other educational topics through resources provided by the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library.
In a unique partnership with Indy Parks and Recreation, the Library will offer Internet access to Web sites that relate to the various educational activities taking place at Bethel Park. Even small children can find information on a Little Tikes computer station. Library books can be checked out on the public computers and picked up at any IMCPL location.
To encourage reading about park-related topics such as the environment and health, books and magazines will be available for in-house browsing on mobile carts.
The Library provides similar resources at other Indy Parks and Recreation locations: Christian Park, Washington Park and Municipal Park. The partnership will grow to include a total of eight park locations by 2007.
