The 14th director in The Indianapolis Public Library's illustrious history dating to 1873 has begun her tenure as the Library's Chief Executive Officer. Jackie Nytes succeeds Laura Bramble, who retired after 41 years in the library industry including the past four years serving as Library CEO. Nytes recently ended an 12-year stint as Indianapolis City County Councillor in District 9 and a four-year term as Executive Director of the Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation.
