<title>IMCPL Cited for Excellence in Financial Reporting</title>

<description>The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library has received the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. For the 19th consecutive year, IMCPL has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).</description>

<title>Southside Resident Receives Honor From IMCPL Foundation</title>

<description>The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation has named Southside resident Jeanne M. Gabonay the recipient of its 2009 Beth Tindel Award for outstanding library staff support and advocacy of Foundation initiatives. Gabonay, who serves as Manager of the Processing Service Section at the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, was cited for her long-term contributions to Friends of the Library and the Central Library construction project, as well as her role in the just-completed Staff Campaign to raise additional support for valuable Library programs and services. The Foundation award is named in memory of Beth Tindel, a 12-year IMCPL employee who was valued for her enthusiastic support of Foundation activities and passion for library service.</description>

<title>Author Susan Neville Presents $2,500 Gift to East Washington Library</title>

<description>Indianapolis author Susan Neville has generously provided a gift in the amount of $2,500 for enhanced programs and services to the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library&#39;s East Washington Branch (2822 E. Washington Street), an original Carnegie Library that opened in 1911. It&#39;s the oldest branch still in use throughout the IMCPL system.</description>
