Library Trustees Meet to Consider CEO Selection

The Indianapolis Public Library Board of Trustees will meet in special session to consider selection of the Library’s next Chief Executive Officer on Thursday, September 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library Services Center, 2450 N. Meridian Street.

The seven-member Board will select between M. Jacqueline Nytes, an Indianapolis City-County Councillor in District 9 and Executive Director of the Mapleton Fall Creek Development Corporation; and Tom Sloan, Associate Executive Director of the Reaching Across Illinois Library System in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

The next CEO will succeed Laura Bramble, who has served in that capacity since early 2007. Ms. Bramble is retiring after 41 years in the library industry. She has served in various positions at The Indianapolis Public Library since 1992 after beginning her career at local Library in 1970.
