These questions and others can be answered at the Indy Author Fair, a full day of free, public activities including the opportunity to meet and greet dozens of Indiana authors on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
Shelby Branch Library Has a New Name... Garfield Park Branch!
September 26, 2011 — When the major renovation to the Shelby Branch of The Indianapolis Public Library is completed in early November, the branch will be known as the Garfield Park Branch, reflecting the desire of neighborhood residents to refer to the branch by their beloved and well-known Garfield Park which sits adjacent to the branch on the near Southside of Indianapolis.

September 22, 2011 — The Indianapolis Public Library Board of Trustees has selected M. Jacqueline Nytes as the Library's next Chief Executive Officer. The selection occurred during a special Library Board meeting on Thursday, September 22.

September 19, 2011 — The Indianapolis Public Library Board of Trustees will meet in special session to consider selection of the Library’s next Chief Executive Officer on Thursday, September 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library Services Center, 2450 N. Meridian Street.

2011 Summer Reading Program Continues at IMCPL Libraries
July 05, 2011 — It's not too late for children of all ages and families to register for the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library's 2011 Summer Reading Program, "A Science Odyssey," which continues through August 1 at all Indianapolis library locations.
