Labor Day Closing
All Indianapolis Public Library locations will be closed on Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day, except the InfoZone, which will be open on each day from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
August 28, 2015 — The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation has announced that poet and Indianapolis resident Mari Evans is the recipient of the 2015 Indiana Authors Award Lifetime Achievement Award. This marks only the second time an author has received this award from the Library Foundation.
August 21, 2015 — Inventors, entrepreneurs, educators, students and legal professionals are invited to learn to navigate the patent and trademark process when representatives from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office present a free public seminar, "Patents and Trademarks 101: Information You Need to Protect Your Intellectual Property," on Wednesday, September 16 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Central Library in the Clowes Auditorium, 40 E. St. Clair Street.
August 14, 2015 — The public can help shape plans for a major renovation of the Warren Branch of The Indianapolis Public Library during a series of public meetings beginning on Wednesday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the library branch located at 9701 E. 21st Street.
