July 29, 2015 — The Indianapolis Public Library is collaborating with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. and numerous community organizations, neighborhoods, schools and businesses to transform community greenspaces along Indianapolis bike ways into an interactive, outdoor library during "Pedals, Prose & Places" on Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This one of a kind, literary greenspace bike crawl will inspire creativity, strengthen our connection to nature and highlight the city.
July 27, 2015 — A national exhibit celebrating the spiritual and physical beauty of black women from all walks and stages of life is on display from August 8 - September 27 at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair Street.
July 21, 2015 — The Public Collection, a new public art and literacy project aiming to increase access to books and art, will hold its official launch event on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 12 noon, on Monument Circle in Indianapolis. The project has been developed by Rachel M. Simon to improve literacy, foster a deeper appreciation of the arts, and raise awareness for educational justice in our community.
