All Indianapolis Public Libraries will be closed on December 24 & 25 for the Christmas holiday. Additionally, the Flanner House Branch will be closed on December 26.
All libraries will close at 5 p.m. on December 31 and will remain closed on January 1, except the InfoZone, which will be open on January 1 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Additionally, the Flanner House Branch will be closed on January 2.
December 15, 2014 — Beginning January 4, the Franklin Road Branch of The Indianapolis Public Library, 5550 S. Franklin Road, will provide regular Sunday library services from 12 noon – 5 p.m., a move that results from increased demand in a growing Franklin Township and follows similar Sunday hours of service that exist at large township branches in Marion County.
December 11, 2014 — Individuals now have the capability of using their Internet-connected smartphone or tablet (iOS, Android or Blackberry) from anywhere in the city to print documents directly to print stations at select Indianapolis Public Library locations. This new offering meets an increased demand for such service and furthers the Library's goal to enhance connectivity for patrons.
December 08, 2014 — The Indianapolis Public Library has appointed Meaghan Fukunaga as Manager of Digitization, with a focus on developing projects and community collaborations that can increase capacity for the preservation and storage of older format items of local historic interest.
